Kajaari embodies the union of cultures and the transformative power of travel. Inspired by our founder Ariana, her husband Jasbinder, and their daughter Kaia, the name “Kajaari” reflects the blending of Costa Rican, Indian, and American roots. The name holds all of that , and so does every trip I plan.

Meet Ariana
I grew up in Costa Rica before I knew what a travel itinerary was. My sense of a place came from living in it: the rhythm of the rainy season, which roads hold up in June, what the Pacific side feels like versus the Caribbean. That's the kind of knowledge you can't get from a research trip.
I started Kajaari because being from Costa Rica gave me something no agency could replicate. I wanted to put that to use for people who actually cared about the difference.

I hold a degree in Ecotourism and am currently completing a Master's in Environmental Sciences, because understanding how tourism affects the places it touches matters to me, not just how it looks on an itinerary.
